The sun was shining as the SCCV gathered at Hobey’s for what promised to be another great day exploring the Peninsula.
This year, there would be no unscheduled detours, no water crossings or dirt tracks. Hobey had prepared a detailed guide. All we had to do was follow it. So still no guarantee then.
After meeting at Hobey’s and subsequent mechanical repair by our mechanical expert, Lance, to fix a gear linkage problem with Theos Tiger. It was off to explore. Destination: the “Flinder Hotel”.
Some members choose to go straight to the “Flinder Hotel” while others enjoyed the drive following Hobey in his Tiger.
Once assembled at the Hotel, the SCCV put on an impressivee mix of Alpines, Tigers and a Talbot.
Great company and great food an ever-present features of any SCCV event.
After lunch, it was off to the golf course for the now traditional photo.
A great day was had by all.
